8:45 a.m. (instructional day begins)
3:30 p.m. (dismissal)
What are the drop off options for students who do not ride the bus?
You can drive your car up to the parking lot and follow the Kiss and Go procedures:
Kiss and Go is a drop-off and pick-up service offered to our car riding students during arrival and dismissal times. This service allows students to exit and enter the car safely and quickly.
Pull up to the crosswalk in the parking lot.
Have your child(ren) ready to exit the passenger side of the car when the Kiss and Go volunteer opens the car door.
You can walk your child to the front door, the doors open at 8:30!
If you are driving, please park on the street and don’t forget to use the crosswalks!
If you need before school care for your child, you can sign them up for Play Centers or Kids Revolution. Both require payment and are not a part of Baltimore County Public Schools. The center you choose will release your child to their class at 8:30 when school opens.
How does dismissal work?
If your child qualifies for a bus, they can ride the bus home. They will be dismissed from their class to the gym to line up for the bus.
If you child attends Play Centers or Kids Revolution they will be dismissed from their class to the cafeteria and sign in with their after care program.
Your child can use Kiss and Go if you’d like to drive to pick them up. Use the same procedures as drop off!
You can pick your child up from their classroom door. All classrooms at Warren have a door that leads outside, meet your child’s teacher there.
What should I do if I need to change my child’s transportation plan for dismissal?
If you know ahead of time, send a note to school with your child. Include the following information:
Childs Name
Date
Change (i.e. Jack will be riding the bus home today…)
Sign your Name
Contact information
If you do not know ahead of time, email the child's teacher or call the office and provide the same information as above.
What should I do if my child needs an early dismissal?
A note should be sent in for early dismissal to the classroom teacher. The teacher will send the note to the main office. The name of the person picking up and expected time of early dismissal should be included in the note. NO student will be dismissed if the name does not appear on the emergency contact list.
When you arrive, let the front office know who you are picking up and have your ID ready! You’ll be asked to wait outside for your child.

Can I send Birthday celebration food or party invitations to school?
No food is allowed for birthday celebrations due to students with food allergies. The cafeteria does offer a cookie for purchase for birthdays. If party invitations are distributed at school, it should be for the entire class so that students are not left out.
What should I do if my child is absent for a doctor’s appointment?
If a student misses school for a doctor's appointment, a note should be sent in on the day of the student's return. An emailed doctor's note to the teacher would suffice as well.
