Volunteering is NOT a requirement of membership! We know everyone has a lot to do. We do ask that when you can, please see the list below of volunteer opportunities and sign up!

Help needed daily from 10:45am-1:30pm
You can sign up for 1 hour, 2 hours, weekly, daily... you can set the schedule!
Room Parent
Help your child's teacher and homeroom parents with communication and community building!
All in school volunteers must complete the volunteer application and participate in an orientation/training session annually beginning on July 1st. All volunteer training expires on June 30th.

Volunteers will receive an email from the school volunteer coordinator once the application is approved. Do not forget to attach your certificate at the bottom of the application!
Paper option
Step 1: Complete the BCPS Volunteer Application - Complete and save a copy to your computer or device. You will need to email this along with your training certificates to Heather O'Leary at holeary@bcps.org.
Step 2: Complete the online Volunteer Orientation AND the Health & Safety - Mitigation 2021 training.
Returning Users with an existing Safe Schools Login
If you have completed training in the past but don't remember your login information, please email swade@bcps.org for assistance in recovery.
Step 3: Send your certificates and application to Heather O'leary at holeary@bcps.org.
